Course Requirements
4.1 Research Track
At least 2 courses of the 5000 layer (including at least one in Mathematics); and at least 2 courses of the 6000 layer are required.
The thesis advisor may propose replacing one 5000 course with a course of similar scope and level at the Faculty of Exact Sciences, or at another unit of the Faculty of Engineering, and/or replacing one 6000 course with another course of similar scope and level.
A student may take up to 3 4000 courses; a 4th may be taken if approved by the advisor and the School's MSc Committee.
All other courses may be chosen from the 5000, 6000 & 7000 layers.
4.2 Project Track
At least 2 courses of the 5000 layer (including at least one in Mathematics); and at least 4 courses of the 6000 layer are required.
Students may take up to 4 courses of the 4000 layer.
All other courses may be chosen from the 5000, 6000 & 7000 layers.
In addition, in both tracks, students are required to participate in School seminars: 14 seminars in the Research Track and 8 seminars in the Project Track.
